Are Snow Leopards Surviving?

In my Population class, we are focusing on the population increase and decrease of humans and other organisms. I decided to research Snow Leopards because they are very beautiful animals that I am really hoping won't go extinct. According to my research, it turns out the Snow Leopards population was decreasing significantly from 2000 to 2016. I found a graph of their population decrease rate from 2000-2016. I made a graph of the human population of that time (2000-2016), and our population was of course increasing.

Humans are creating climate change and that is making the Snow Leopards population decrease significantly. The more the human population grows the more fossil fuels are being burnt and the more fossil fuels that are burnt the more carbon dioxide. Climate change makes the Snow Leopard's habitat shrink, which is making snow leopards more vulnerable to predators. Humans are also hunting snow leopards, for their beautiful fur, and their bones for medicine.

I liked researching about the Snow Leopards but it was very sad to see how their population is decreasing. It is really sad that people hunt these beautiful cats, I want everyone to realize that doing these things are endangering the Snow Leopards. which can make them go extinct. Climate change is obviously also changing everything and species are going extinct from it as well. I really hope humans will stop doing things that cause climate change if not for us, then for the incredible animals in the world like the Snow Leopards.
